But have you ever wondered how you actually know which tree is the mangoe tree?π€ It's probably because you were taught so.
But what if you were asked to actually prove its a mangoe tree. There are two possible ways of doing that really : either by waiting for the tree to produce mangoe fruits,or by planting a mangoe seed and wait for it to germinate into a mangoe tree.
Therefore if you didn't see the tree being planted, or seen it produce fruits,,if you say it's a mangoe tree,It's really just a claimπ,,even though the tree might look exactly like a mangoe tree.
Now what if you were to be further asked: what makes it a mangoe tree?π€
To get the answer to this one that means you would have to actually understand how each and every single particle inside the tree behaves and how they all connect to each other.π’ So basically it's only the one who created it who knows the answer.π
Now here's the interesting part π€
We strongly believe that the knowledge of oneself is our key to life
By being able to answer the first question,It's very easy to think that you know about mangoe trees.π But "proving" is really just finding out why it's reffered to as a mangoe tree.
So in the same way, there are thoughts we develop about ourselves, from the things we observe about ourselves. If the observations are consistent,we solidify our thoughts to such an extent they become more real than our observations. We start using the thoughts as a basis of determining how close to reality are the things we observe and discard anything that doesn't match with our thoughts.
However,The second question shows that there's a huge difference between knowing about something and knowing something.
It's only the one who knows something who can truly tell whether it's real or not. We think we know ourselves, but what we really have in our minds are basically thoughts we have gathered about ourselves.
And because of that,we end up running away from who we truly are, trying to match what we believe we should be. All in the name of seeking life.
But life is what happens outside of our minds. A tree doesn't have even a single thought about itself yet it's fully alive.
So should we abandon our thoughts? Of course not,but we just need to understand that they are there to make our lives different, not better.
