A young man once took his car to a mechanic because the headlights wouldn't switch on. Within a few minutes, the mechanic was done, and the headlights were working perfectly.
On top of that,he got charged a really small fee for the repair. The man was impressed, and puzzled at the same time,so he asked the mechanic how he did it. "Well there was a problem with the wiring which caused the fuses to blow up,so i just removed a section of the fuse box and connected the lights directly to the power source. ",replied the mechanic π
Oh,but won't that cause some more problems in the car?,, asked the man.
The mechanic responded "Well, its just the radio and the air conditioner which won't work anymore, because they also used the same fuses,,but what's better?,a working radio or working lights?
What would you say if you were the owner?
I guess it would depend on whether you really used the radio that much,or on how frequently you drove at night. π
Well what if i told you that's not even a question to begin withπ?. The word "better is only true when you comparing something against itself" . For example: wine, they say it get's better with age right?π€ if you would get a hundred people to taste wine today, and make them taste the same wine again next year, they will all testify that the older wine is better. But take two brands of wine and ask the same people which one is better, some will chose one brand, some the other.
Bottom line is: comparison is a way of finding out "difference". So for two different things, there's nothing to compare because they are different already. π€·πΌ♂️ So it would be more like trying to find out if
different things are different ,very stupid right?
Did it sound stupid to you when you asked yourself questions like these?
Which is better, drowning in stress, or losing a bit of money and health by getting drunk/smoking?
Which is better, sticking to a girlfriend who talks to much,or finding another who's more quiet?
Which is better, going to school and get a degree,or starting my own business?
Don't worry, you are not alone,we all have been that stupid at some point. But it's up to you if you still want to continue making decisions based on stupid comparisons.π
Everything is different, each thing is good in it's own way,and it's also bad in it's own way.
The goodness of one thing does not cover the badness of the other
