Principles

 

If you look around,humans have changed a lot of things in the world.

But there's really one thing they have managed to alter: speed at which things occur.

Communication is now faster,travelling,production in industries etc,,what we really call change in the world is just change in speed.

However,the fundamental principles that govern how things work in this world haven't shifted even a bit.

A quote from one wise man  goes:

"As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble.” — Harrington Emerson

Unless your life is exactly the same as that of the person who developed a particular method of doing things,adopting the method will be the same as wearing a shoe that's not your size,it will always hurt at some point.

They say experience is the best teacher,but it only teaches you about methods,thats why it doesn't guarantee you sucess.

But as for principles,you search for them,and once you grasp them,you get the whole world under you feet.

Its easy to find them really. One thing i have observed is that everything you see with your eyes,you either talk about it or imitate,but everything you see through your mind,you always think about it and try to comprehend  it. In other words,your mind was made to understand principles.

Therefore,invest more on the things that allow you to think i.e

Listen more,be slow to act,talk less,,and definitely read a lot.
