The True Image of God: Power and Glory

The True Image of God: Power and Glory

According to Scripture, God reveals Himself through two defining characteristics:
Glory and 💪 Power.

When God created man, He made him in His own image — a reflection of Himself in the world. But here's the profound mystery: God did not create man and woman in the exact same way.

Man was formed directly from the dust by the hand of God, carrying within him the strength and power of the Creator. But woman was crafted differently — she was made from man, not to compete with him, but to complete him.

God separated His image into two complementary parts:

  • To man, He gave power.

  • To woman, He gave glory.

Only when the two come together in harmony do they reflect the full image of God — just as He intended.

But then came the enemy, Satan — the counterfeit image of God.
He does not carry true power or glory. Instead, he operates through pride — a twisted imitation of divinity. And through pride, he has deceived mankind.

He has taught men to chase money and status, convincing them that without wealth, they are nothing — blinding them to the strength God already placed within them.
He has taught women to chase physical beauty, making them believe that without outward perfection, they are not enough — distracting them from the glory God wove into their very being.

And now, we live in a world filled with:

  • Men who feel worthless because their pockets are empty, not realizing they were born with power.

  • Women who feel inadequate because their bodies don't meet society's standards, unaware they already carry divine glory.

But the truth is this:
You were made in the image of God.
You do not need to chase what the world calls success or beauty — those are shadows. You carry something deeper, something eternal.

To the man: Your value is not in your bank account — it's in your strength, your purpose, and your God-given ability to lead, protect, and build.
To the woman: Your worth is not in the mirror — it's in your grace, your influence, and the radiant glory God placed within you.

Let us reject the false image the world offers. Let us return to the original design — where power and glory work in unity, not in competition. Because only in embracing who we truly are can we reflect the fullness of the One who made us.

The Power of Naming

Have you ever heard of Parastratiosphecomyia stratiosphecomyioides?

It’s a type of a fly found in Thailand, and it holds the record for the longest valid scientific name of any animal. It might sound like a tongue-twister, but there’s a powerful lesson hidden in that name — a lesson that could drastically improve the way you think and make decisions.

This fly’s name isn’t just a random string of syllables. It follows a global system known as binomial nomenclature, which gives every known species a two-part scientific name. This system allows scientists all over the world — regardless of language or location — to know exactly which organism is being referred to. In a field with over 100,000 known fly species, precision is everything.

Why Naming Is the Secret Power of Science

Science is often seen as the most advanced and reliable field of human knowledge. But that’s not because scientists are superhuman geniuses. The real secret lies in the naming system science uses — structured, consistent, and universal.

You see, a name isn’t just a label. It’s a mental connector — a bridge between what you already know and what you’re learning. That’s what science is at its core: a system of linking the unknown to the known.

Let’s break it down with a simple example.
Imagine someone shouts, “Snake!
Instantly, your brain begins searching through its memory:

  • What is it? An animal.

  • Is it dangerous? Possibly.

  • Where is it? Unknown — time to look around!

This is your mind doing what it’s designed to do: think in patterns based on known names. The moment you hear the word "snake," you don’t start from zero. You start from what the name already means to you. That’s how naming drives thinking.

Now ask yourself:
What if we brought that same clarity to everyday life?

Misnaming: The Hidden Cause of Confusion and Stress

Most of the problems we face don’t come from a lack of effort — they come from mislabeling.
We give things the wrong names, and then make decisions based on those mislabels.

Take relationships, for instance.
Many people remain struggle more than they should simply because of how they’ve named the relationship in their minds.
They don’t see it as “a failing relationship.”
They see it as “a failing life.”
That’s a naming issue, and it leads to emotional paralysis.

When names are vague, emotionally charged, or distorted, our thinking becomes cloudy. But when names are accurate, our decisions become clearer, faster, and far less painful.

Final Wisdom

The Chinese philosopher Confucius once said:

“The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper name.”

He was right.
Whether it’s in science, relationships, business, or personal growth — naming is everything.
Because when you name something right, you think about it right.
And when you think about it right, you act with power, clarity, and wisdom.

So the next time you’re facing confusion or frustration, pause and ask yourself:
“What am I really dealing with — and am I calling it by its true name?”

That one question might be the start of your breakthrough.

Don't focus on goals

It's good to set goals,in order to be sucessful, but focusing on them is a recipe for failure.

To focus means to direct your energy toward something. Yet, we must understand this: a goal is nothing more than a desired outcome — it begins as just a thought, an idea, a vision. Success, however, is not in the desire itself; it is found in the achievement of that desire. And achievement is always the result of one thing — the process.

This is why focus should never be on the goal itself, but on the process that leads to it. The process is what requires your energy. The process is what shapes you, grows you, and transforms your potential into reality.

That being said, setting goals is still very important. Why? Because having a desire means that you already carry the energy to pursue it. A goal reveals where your energy naturally wants to flow. But here’s the truth: you cannot focus on anything if you have no goal — without a target, energy has no direction.

However, focusing too much on the goal — instead of the process — can be harmful. It creates inner tension, like stomach acids attacking an empty stomach because there is no food to digest. In the same way, having strong desire without a clear process creates stress — your own energy begins to torment you.

This is the silent struggle many people face. Life itself is not always as hard as it seems — but people suffer because they pour energy into dreams they have no path to reach. They are burdened by their own ungrounded ambition.

So here is the wisdom:
Before you chase any goal, understand the process that will lead to it.
If there is no visible path, pause. If the journey is not clear, wait. It is better to walk on the ground than to fly with no wings.

In simple terms:
Focus only on what exists, so you can eventually achieve what doesn’t.

Life is too short to waste time chasing shadows.
Spend your energy on what is in front of you.
What is meant for you will show itself in time. Until then, be present. Be grounded. Be in process.

I hate to use myself as an example, because I know there are some people who know so much about me,that they think they know me. So they might struggle to believe anything about me,that is different from what they know about me.

Unfortunately i just couldn't find a better example. Growing up,i never got involved in a fist fight. Although i was relatively small physically, the main reason was because my punches didn't seem enough to transfer the pain i was feeling inside of me to the other person. Moreover, there was also a chance of ending up getting hurt myself, and i just couldn't take the risk.

Therefore, the best solution i found was to keep quite and not react. Then to put off the fire of hurt inside me,i would downgrade the way i viewed the person, till it matched whatever they did to me. For example, there are those kids who would just hit me for no good reason,so i would imagine them as something else that hurt me,but did not get me angry,e.g the "swintila" (those tiny black ants that sting). So looking at them that way would make me laugh instead. That also got me to have a lot of kids who wanted to play with me because i was supposedly "harmless".

However, those characters i assigned to people were permanent,,so even though i was a friend to almost everyone,i had very few of those who i regarded as my friends. This also meant that i had few people who i relied upon,so I got inclined towards being self-reliant and content with the things i had.

But then as I am getting older,I am beginning to understand a lot of things about life, and one thing that has stood out  the most is that,"we were never designed to be independent ". In other words," humans cannot exist in isolation,we depend on connection, community and caring". That's the concept of "UBUNTU",as our elders call it.

That meant i needed to change my strategy,i needed one that would enable me to say," I am,because you are, regardless of who you are". But i didn't get rid of the old one entirely. There's one element of it that I still believe is very important and most people are not aware of it, which is: it's good to know the difference between your thoughts and feelings, before you can consider your actions.

Your mind is always cycling between thoughts and feelings. What comes first is the thought,as in the things that make you feel bad,are those that you think they are bad. And interestingly, the moment you  feel bad about something,it causes you to have bad thoughts.  So it's that continuous cycle that gives you the drive to act.

Therefore all you really need is to break that cycle,,you can either control your thoughts or your feelings. For example if you have bad thoughts about something, make sure you don't allow those thoughts to make you feel bad,,or if something is making you feel bad,,don't allow it to make you have bad thoughts.

If you just manage to do that, you will be able to act in a way that will not compromise your relationship with other people, because you need them

Power of belief

In as much as knowledge is important,I hope you are also aware that you should not be seekers of it.

As Jesus said in John 6 v 39:

You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life;and it is they that bear witness about me,40 yet you refuse to come to me so that you may have life.

There's  one thing I would like you to understand, that man,in his natural state is a seeker of knowledge. Thats because our strength gets multiplied through knowledge, and we think with more power we get more life.

Adam and Eve fell off from the Glory of God because of their persuit for knowledge. They later realized that their knowledge  gave them limited power and limited life, compared to when they had eternal life and power from God.

The Lord sent His Son so that He could bring us back under His Grace; so that we do not have to rely on our knowledge, but rather we hold on to Faith. That's because faith is an advanced version of knowledge. According to Hebrews 11, faith is being certain of the things we do not see.

Knowledge is limited to the things we see,but faith goes beyond that,it's knowledge that is beyond this world. In other words, faith is a manifestation of the knowledge of God inside us.

Therefore it's not just any knowledge that you need,,but it's God's knowledge that brings true everlasting  power and life. That's why you need to get born again,to detach yourself from your knowledge, because the power it gives you is only limited to the bounds of the world we live in.

Being born again means getting rid of our fleshly desires which also means getting rid of our desire to acquire knowledge. That's why the Lord gave us the Holy Spirit, He is the one with all the knowledge of God.

As for you,the anointing you received from Him abides in you,and you have no need for anyone to teach you;but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie,and just as it has taught you, abide in Him. 1 John 2 v 27

Sober mind

You know they say alcohol is bad,,because of the things it makes you do sometimes.

But it's really not the one that makes you do those things,,it  only gives you "abnormal confidence",then you start doing those things you would nt do in your normal senses.

If you are not careful, social media can have the same effect on you. Just because you cannot see how others are affected by the things you say,,it doesn't mean it doesn't affect them.

The enemy within

This happened to me one day.

I was standing at the station waiting to get a ride home from town. Then a kombi pulled over and the conductor said let's go. I asked how much? ,he said 50c,and i got in.

Along the way,he asked for the fair, and i handed over the 50c. ,Whilest receiving the money,he exclaimed "kombi is $1 my friend, bring the other 50c".

But you said 50c!,,I asked back. Then he said "don't you know that it's $1 to go where you are going?".

At that moment i paused, and started thinking to myself,he was actually right, that was the correct fare. But then i really didn't have the other 50c,that's the reason why i had asked for the price before boarding,, so that i could tell him that i have 50c and beg him to let me in.

I looked back at him,and i replied,"you said 50c!". I really didn't feel like begging him and i was actually beginning to get frustrated because i felt like he was trying to make a fool out of me. Then the other passengers started whispering  that i should  just pay up to avoid noise,,and that got me even more angrier,i knew they all had heard the guy say 50c,,but i really didn't understand why they decided  to attack me instead.

I had my own way of avoiding the noise, and that was to shut up till i got to my bustop. As i was getting off,one of the passengers patted me on my back and said,"you did right my boy,i heard him say 50c before you got in".

As i watched the combi move off, I was like,"wow, did  i just manage to stand my ground against a whole kombi? ". But that wasn't true. What really happened is that its my mind that had actually managed to stand with me.

In life, there's actually a huge gap between you,and what you call reality, and within that gap, that's where your mind exists. That means it's actually disconnected from either side, all the thoughts it generates are 100% from within it. It's easy to think that i didn't pay because i didn't have the money/the conductor lied ,,but the actual reason why i didn't pay is because "i thought" i wasn't supposed to pay.

Those reasons might seem to have had contributed to the thought, but remember, the conductor and the passengers actually gave an equal number of reasons to pay up,but i literally ignored them all.

The primary function of your mind is to create i.e (to make from nothing),a lot of people don't know that, they think the mind is reactive,as in it requires a reason to act. An example of something that is reactive is a metal plate,if you hit it with a wooden  spoon,it makes a noise, that's a reaction. But your mind doesn't work like that, every decision it makes is always a 100% conscious choice ,It's up to it to either make a noise or not.

The size of the reasons doesn't really matter, the passenger who patted me at the end didn't even know all the reasons why i refused to pay,he only supported me for just one reason.

We are so afraid to confront our mind,we rather  chose to blame reasons for the decision it makes. But the real culprit is your mind, whatever reasons you have for whatever you are doing right now,,it's because you chose them.

Life is what you make it

There’s a saying that goes, “Life is what you make it.”

But let’s be honest — sometimes, life feels like it’s happening to us, not through us. We get overwhelmed by circumstances, detours, and delays, and we start to lose our sense of direction.

But what if we flipped the perspective?

What if you saw your life as something you're not just living, but driving — like a car?

Let’s explore this idea.

You Are the Driver

Imagine your life as a vehicle.
When you buy a car, it’s registered in your name. You become responsible for how it’s driven, where it goes, how it’s maintained, and what it becomes.

In the same way, your life is registered to you. You are the only one who can truly take the wheel.
And just like a car, your life was designed to move — to grow, to progress, to explore new destinations.

But here’s the thing:
Owning a car doesn’t mean you control the roads — it means you control how you drive on them.
Life works the same way.

You Can Customize It — But Not Redefine It

You can do many things with a car: change its color, install new seats, add powerful speakers. But no matter how much you customize it, a car is only useful if it moves. The moment it stops doing that, all its other features become irrelevant.

Likewise, you can shape your life in countless ways. You can chase careers, relationships, goals, and dreams. But if you're not moving — if you're not growing, healing, learning, or becoming — then none of it really matters.

Movement is the soul of life. Without progress, even the most beautiful life begins to decay.

Purpose Comes from Design

Every car is built with a specific purpose. A sports car isn’t designed to carry vegetables from a farm. A truck isn’t meant for high-speed races.

The same goes for you.
You weren’t designed for everything. Trying to live someone else’s life — chasing goals that don’t match your design — will only wear you out.

That’s why self-awareness is essential.
Ask yourself:

  • What feels natural to me?

  • Where do I thrive?

  • What kind of road excites me?

Understanding your own build — your strengths, values, and passion — allows you to drive on the right roads, at the right pace, in the right direction.

The Road Is Unknown, But the Wheel Is in Your Hands

Here’s the beautiful paradox:
You can choose where you want to go, but you can’t control every twist, turn, or traffic jam on the way. The road ahead is full of surprises. Some days are smooth highways. Others are potholes, detours, and dead ends.

And that’s okay.

You don’t need to control the road.
You just need to stay in control of the wheel.

Life isn’t about forcing every outcome. It’s about adapting. About slowing down when needed, shifting gears during climbs, and accelerating when the opportunity opens up.

Focus on Movement, Not Speed

Too many people compare their journey to others. But cars don’t all move at the same speed — and neither do people. Some are built for endurance, others for agility. Some take the scenic route, others the expressway.

The goal isn’t to arrive first — it’s to arrive fulfilled.

Stop rushing.
Stop competing.
Start focusing on your own progress, no matter how slow or quiet it feels right now.

Love Your Life Enough to Take Care of It

A car only lasts long if you maintain it. Oil changes, tire checks, fuel — they all matter.
The same applies to your life: you need rest, nourishment, boundaries, reflection.

Ask yourself:

  • Am I fueling my mind and body?

  • Am I ignoring warning lights?

  • When was the last time I checked in with myself?

You can’t drive far on an empty tank.
Self-care isn’t selfish — it’s survival.

Final Thoughts: It’s All Up to You

In the end, the question is not what kind of road you’re on, but how well you’re driving.
Yes, the journey is unpredictable.
Yes, the roads can be tough.
But the car is yours.
The wheel is in your hands.

So take ownership.
Drive with purpose.
And remember:

Your life is a vehicle — and no one else can drive it for you.

Standards

Standards are not barriers,it just depends on where you look at them from. But the ones who put them see them as a doorway for people with particular qualities to get in,,,but if you don't have those qualities to you they will appear like a blockade.

Each standard is set in relation to a particular goal,

So just concentrate on where you fit in,and if ever you feel like challenging a standard,do it only to improve on the reason it was set for.
